·         WHO-UNESCO-Ministry of Education, Beirut (Summer 2001):Reviewed the national school curriculum guide and related books (all subjects in English, Arabic and French, from grade 1 to 9) for health education and environmental health messages. The report is in Arabic.

·         Higher Council for Children, Lebanese Ministry of Social Affairs, Beirut (Summer 2003): Participated in preparing the 3rd National Report on the Conditions of Children in Lebanon- Chapter on Basic Health Care.

·         Municipality of Bterram, Lebanon: member as of Summer 2004 (volunteer work): Led an integrated mosquito control program (health education sessions, worked with volunteers to develop an informational brochure and supervised pesticide spraying; assessed and intervened in a road safety plan for the community with the NGO Youth Association for Social Awareness.

·         University of Balamand and Partners for Development: December 2005: Reviewed and edited the resource document “Ethical Practice in Community Work”.

·         Encouraging the development and co-teaching of new courses; intellectual hours and writing retreats

·         The self-study process in the University Accreditation Task Team 1 on AUB Mission Statement, its goals and objectives and contributed to writing up of the final report of the task team (2002-2003);

·         Tenure Committee designated by the Present to study re-instating tenure at AUB (2006-07);

·         Wellness Committee to introduce health promoting programs in AUB (as of Summer 2005-06) and led the Tobacco Free Campus Initiative in March 2007;

·         University Learning Outcomes Committee to study the alignment of mission statements and learning outcomes of graduate programs at AUB 2007-2008;

·         Institutional Review Board for the Social Behavioral Sciences, member since October 2009;

·         Seminar presenter on Ethics and Research in Human Research Protection Program series as of Jan 11, 2011.
