    Dear AUB Community,

Growing concern about the spread of H1N1 has prompted the University Health Services to provide you with preventive measures to protect yourself.

    • Avoid close contact (one meter) with people who appear unwell and who have fever and cough.
    • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly to stop the spread of germs.
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth since germs are often spread this way.
    • Cover your nose and mouth to prevent others from getting sick.
    • Stay home if you are sick or consult your personal physician.

If you think you have symptoms of H1N1 Flu (high fever, body aches, sore throat, cough and runny nose, sometimes vomiting and diarrhea) or you have been exposed to someone with H1N1 Flu, we encourage you to stay home and contact the University Health Services:

    Dear AUB Community,

Many of you are concerned about the Swine Flu occurring recently in California, Kansas, New York, Ohio, Texas and Canada. Since this is an evolving situation, the World Health Organization has declared the “flu” as public health emergency of international concern.

The symptoms of Swine Flu are similar to the common Flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue.

There is no vaccine to protect humans from swine flu. To protect yourself, practice general preventive measures for Influenza:

    • Avoid close contact with people who appear unwell and who have fever and cough.
    • Wash your hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly.

Your safety and well being are our primary concern.
