Hepatitis A virus infection (HAV)may be a threat to residents and attending if fecal-oral spread is likely. HAV infection may be readily transmitted. If an outbreak happened, residents staff members in close personal contact with patients should receive 0.02 mL./Kg of Immune Globulin.
