Services

  • The department serves the hospitalized patients and the outpatients, as well. The treatment area for outpatients is composed of four treatment rooms: hydrotherapy, electrotherapy, gymnasium, and a treatment room for cerebral palsy cases.

  • The department provides treatment for patients of different age groups (elderly, adults, and pediatrics) and with various diseases (orthopedic cases and traumatology, neurology and neurosurgery, rheumatology and respiratory diseases, hand surgery, oncology, and sports rehabilitation).

  • Specialized programs are being carried out for inpatients and outpatients.

    • The inpatient programs are the Executive Health Program and the Limb Salvage Program.

      • Executive Health Program
        The role of the physical therapists is to carry out the physical therapy assessment and based on the findings, provide the customer with advice and exercises in two areas that are fitness and spine problems.

      • Limb Salvage Program
        The role of the physical therapists is to assess the patient before the surgery, tailor a specific strengthening exercise program, and educate the patient about the expected rehabilitation steps after the surgery. Following the surgery, the physical therapists focus on joint flexibility, muscle strength, and functional rehabilitation.

    • The outpatient programs are diversified and include the "Back School" sessions for adults and children and the "Adolescent Clinic", where the physical therapy role is mainly, educative and preventive for early diagnosis and therapeutic for advanced cases. The outpatient programs also include the rehabilitation of cerebral palsy conditions, the rehabilitation of vestibular and temporo-mandibular impairments, and the rehabilitation of the hand and sports injuries, as well.
