Workshop on Research Proposal Writing
 
On the occasion of the 100th anniversary (1905-2005) of the School of Nursing, a series of workshops will be offered. The workshop on Proposal Writing is the first of a series.

Description
The workshop will provide through interactive presentations the participants with possibilities for developing and receiving feedback on their own research proposals.

Date and Venue
The workshop begins on May 24 and will consist of 6 sessions, 3 hours each, for a total of 18 hrs (1 credit). The tentative timing is from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The sessions will consist of lectures and discussion of assignments. The workshop will be at the American University of Beirut.

Target Group
This workshop is primarily designed for graduate students and potential researchers in the fields of nursing and health.

Learning Outcomes
  • Formulate research questions/hypotheses on a topic of interest
  • Develop a proposal plan/outline to answer the above question(s) specifying the type of design, sample, and method of data collection
  • Discuss the considerations and steps related to seeking ethics committee approval and funding
