Section 1: General Information

Dear Colleague:

The School of Nursing and the Olayan School of Business at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon, are in the process of developing a joint Masters of Science in Nursing and Masters in Business Administration (MSN/MBA) degree.  This degree aims to prepare nurse executives with knowledge and skills in nursing and business administration.  Many universities in the USA offer similar programs, but AUB plans to offer the first joint MSN/MBA degree program in Lebanon and the Middle East.  Graduates of such programs in the USA occupy positions as nurse executives, CEO, CFO, Assistant CEO, CFO, Vice President or Director of Nursing and other leadership positions in health care institutions.

A feasibility study conducted among our Community of Interest will assist us to determine the viability and sustainability of such a new degree.  You are being approached in your capacity as health care provider, expert, and potential user of such a degree to help us determine if our planned program is feasible.
