How to use the calorie counter:

1. Fill the appropriate cell of how many ml/h and over how many hours each solution is given (Get this info from the nurses sheet).
2. Fill how many ml per feed and over howmany hours (including the rest time. Eg: Breast Milk 45 ml over 2h rest 1h Q3h: You fill 45 and 3 in the cells.)
3. If the neonate is feeding on a special formula and you know its caloric value, then put that in the "other mix" and in the yellow cell(s) fill the right caloric value.
4. Put the weight at birth and the weights today and yesterday. The sheet will calculate the weight difference and it knows which weight (today or birth) to use*
5. Put the birthdate and the DOL is calculated automatically every day.
6. Put the day you started antibiotics and the number of days is calculated automatically every day.

*Birth weight is used only if the neonate is DOL 7 or less and today's weight is less than the birthweight. At DOL 8 today's weight will be used regardless of birthweight.
