Graduation Ball

Jun 4, 2011

On June 4, 2011 the Resident Staff Organization (RSO) of the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) celebrated its 35th anniversary and the graduation of another promotion of our residents and fellows. The venue this time was the Sursok Palace in Achrafieh where a ball was planned to celebrate. After a warm welcome in the gardens of the palace and a small cocktail, the guests were invited to their tables in the lower gardens. A happy ambience with exotic lighting dominated the scene. “I think you’ve outdone yourselves this time…” commented one of the graduating residents.
Dinner was well received as a plethora of choices from salads, seafood, veal, and chicken were available. Deserts such as the chocolate fountain saw great enthusiasm while guests gathered around it.
Awards were given out to attending physicians that helped the RSO in its daunting mission throughout this year. Each graduate was given a plaque
The ball was concluded with guests rushing to dance on the latest beats and music, swaying their cares away.
