Smoking at AUB / AUBMC
Dear Members of the AUB / AUBMC Community,
Today, President Peter Dorman sent an e-mail to remind us of the current smoking policy at the American University of Beirut and its Medical Center. While his message is primarily addressed to students, we – the RSO – believe that our staff has reached a high level of responsibility. However, we would like to remind everyone especially the newcomers that have never seen this kind of policy being practiced and enforced in Lebanon, to restrict their smoking to the designated smoking areas as described in this document. (The brown spots are the small areas that people are allowed to smoke in.) We are not allowed to smoke in any other place and that includes the residents' lounge and it terrace on the second floor of AUBMC phase 2.
There is no need of course to remind that smoking is a very unhealthy addiction. For more information about smoking you may refer to the following links:
