Mission and Philosophy

Commensurate with that of its alma mater, at large, the mission of the Division of Plastic Surgery at the American University of Beirut Medical Center is to provide the best possible surgical care in an academic environment that promotes teaching of medical students and residents interested in future careers. The division encourages free interaction with its faculty, open discussion, exchange of ideas, and prouds itself with rich ungoing research in the field of plastic and cosmetic surgery.

As a training program, the division offers a full all-rounded spectrum service that encompasses plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic procedures. These include the congenital, traumatic, and acquired procedures, in addition to the cosmetic procedures that address all parts of the body including the face, the nose, an active breast service, and body contouring.

Our philosophy at the division is to provide the country and the area, at large, with state-of-the-art care in an ethical and caring fashion as a referral center.
