TRY-OUTS

The most active period and the most demanding from those responsible for the Athletics Department, is the try-out period.  Every student is motivated and enthusiastic to go and try out for a team.   This leads to hundreds of students invading the Athletics Department and registering in the various varsities.

After the teams are selected and over the course of the semester many "crisis" pop-up, that the students have to face with, such as midterms and papers.  The first victim to these "crisis" is the student's athletics activity.  Thus after being chosen in the varsity, and denying somebody else that chance, a student may end up quitting the varsity before the end of the first semester.

To avoid this problem we propose that the athletic department accept all those who registered, taking into consideration a minimum level of skill especially in football since it has the biggest number of registered players.  Then after the midterm exams period, those who succeed in managing their time between study and sport as well as those who show commitment to their teams will be assigned fixed places.

Before the coaches choose their final teams, the uniforms will not be assigned to players, except on particular events and to the players who the coaches choose.  This process continues until the coaches decide on the final roster of the players on their teams, then each athlete will have her/his personal uniform.
