team crowned intramural champion

Under a setting sun and amidst shouts of encouragement from
teammates and colleagues, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
and the School of Business men's basketball teams went head
to head last Tuesday in the finals of the basketball intramural.
Though it seemed to be a fairly uneventful game, those who thought
so were proven wrong in the last three minutes: Talal Salman,
from the School of Business, committed a blatant foul against
Adri El Hakim, sparking off already obvious hostility between
the players of the two teams. Though the animosity was not allowed
to flare up even more than it had, it was enough to make the
last few minutes even more competitive, with both teams vying
for the win. The FEA team finally won triumphed 70-63. Their
coach, Yamen Rajeh commented, "It was a very good game. The
referee made mistakes, but affecting both sides. All players
showed great sportsmanship except Talal." |
