Internationals schuss on Faraya slopes

Twenty-eight AUBites raced down the slopes of Faraya on Sunday on a ski trip organized by the International Students Office, while others visited the ice skating arena in Zouk. Both groups later reconvened for a farewell lunch, organized to bid goodbye to the several visiting international students leaving Lebanon near the end of the fall semester. The trip was open to all AUB students, in order for international students to better integrate with the Lebanese people. Prior to the civil war, Lebanon had always been portrayed as a haven for freedom and democracy amidst a neighborhood dominated by tyrannical military regimes.
