A number of faculty members in the department have subspecialty training in head and neck surgery. A multidisciplinary approach to the management of head and neck cancer is emphasized. Experts from a variety of fields are involved in the management of these patients. Fields include: facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, medical oncology, pathology, and speech therapy.

A special tumor board meets monthly to discuss management of patients presenting with head and neck cancer.
