The Music Behind Assembly Hall
Organ, Assembly Hall
The organ in the Assembly Hall, built in 1972 by the Danish firm of Marcussen and Søn, was the generous gift of Trustee B.D. Eddie. The organ has mechanical key action and 40 stops in four divisions. Its scale and tonal palette are ideal for northern European baroque repertoire. In November 2008, Marcussen and Søn technicians travelled from Denmark to Beirut to make major repairs on the organ.
