“All of these pictures are from the FHS Postpartum Support Study which looks at ways to reduce postpartum stress for first time mothers. The pictures were taken by one of the study’s assessors, Sahar Berro, during her home visits. You can see Sahar with one of the babies in the picture that she named “Roueida”. All the others are mothers enrolled in the study or their husbands or babies. These visits are conducted at the end of the study. The assessor goes to the home to interview women to see how the postpartum experience was for them and administer tests that measure stress levels so that we can see if our interventions have reduced stress.”
