The working hours are normally 8 am - 5 pm, so is AUBMC supported 24 hours by the Department of Medical Engineering staff?
Yes. Most of our staff have pagers listed on this website (view) and in the AUB directory, as well.

In case we need support from suppliers, do we get in touch with them directly?
No. Call the Department of Medical Engineering, and we will handle the contact and assess the work needed to be done on the equipment.

In case of a problem, what type of basic troubleshooting can an equipment user do?
First, check if the equipment is connected to the electrical supply and that it has power. Try to change the power cable and/or plug it in another place. If it is powered on, check the operator manual.

Is the latest technology the best for my use?
Not necessarily. New technology needs time to be proven in terms of reliability, efficiency, efficacy, and cost effectiveness.

In case we want to purchase new equipment or budget for new ones, how can the Department of Medical Engineering help us?
We can help you by developing the specifications of the equipment you need and, then, by technically evaluating the offers. As for budgeting, we can help you in setting the proper budget for the equipment, making sure the budget includes the price of all the functionality you need.
