Impact Factor

The impact factor is a measure of the frequency with which the "average article" in a journal has been cited in a given period of time. It is available from Journal Citation Report (JCR), a product of Thomson ISI (Institute for Scientific Information). Guide to JCR Impact Factor.

Who Cited your Work

To find out who is citing your work, and how many citations an article or an author has received, use Scopus. You can perform a search by affiliation and track how often articles (for example from a particular author or journal) have been cited using the Citation Tracker. Guide to Scopus Citation Tracker.

The University Libraries subscribe to a Citation Management Software (Refworks) that will assist you in creating your own database of references.
