• Go to EDGAR site to search for companies’ filing
  For example, you can check 10-K (annual) and 10-Q (quarterly) reports, proxies, and others.

• Lexis Nexis Academic (Available at the University Libraries)
  Go to  Business > SEC filings & reports 
   

2. Company profiles & top competitors

• World Business Directory
  Covers 100,000 businesses. There are arrangements by country, by product, by industry, and alphabetically.
  Location: Reference Department/ Jafet Library
• Business Source Premier (Available at the University Libraries)
  Select Company Profiles
  You will get a detailed profile from Business Monitor. It includes top competitors, SWOT analyses, key facts, location and subsidiaries etc...

3. Company investment information and annual report

• Check General Business File (Available at the University Libraries)
  Go to Advanced Search and select Investext
• Check the desired company website. The “about” section will give you the annual report as well as other investors and stakeholders information.

4. Company financial data

• Use Compustat (Available at the University Libraries)
  Go to Tools> Financial Statements>

Select balance sheet, cash flow and income statement OR “complete financial statement”
Select the date range as well as the desired company and hit “submit request”
     
Historical data is available (from 1950 to 2005)
Data can be manipulated in an Excel file
