President's Service Excellence Award

Further to president Dorman's email dated November 7, 2008 inviting the AUB community to nominate candidates for the President's Service Excellence Award, I would like to reiterate that this award is presented to AUB non-academic personnel who show excellence in the performance of their duties and have fulfilled their responsibilities beyond the call of duty.

Your nominee could be an employee from any level and any area (other than teaching faculty and clinicians), and should be someone who has demonstrated superior "customer" service leading to increased "customer" satisfaction, efficiency of operations and/or effectiveness of processes. This means that these employees have excelled when dealing with "customers" who include students, hospital patients and any internal AUB users.

Furthermore, each award will have the following components:
o A medal with the awardees' name engraved.
o A plaque with the awardees' name engraved and located on the western wall of College Hall breezeway.
o Recognition of the awardees' achievements in a ceremony publicized on the AUB web and publications.
o Cash prize amounting to $2,000 per awardee.

Your nomination should be supported by appropriate justification, and delivered to me prior to January 31, 2009. My office is located on the 5th Floor of College Hall. Nomination forms and justification letters can be printed directly from the web:
