Prize in 1981, and the Fields Medal in 1966.

New Student Designs on the Neighborhood will take place from 6 to
8 pm on Monday October 20 at the Mahmoud Malhas Common Room, West
Hall. It will continue from Tuesday October 21 until Saturday October
25, opening daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm
Students will be on hand to explain their projects.

Capoeira Dance |
Introductory
Lecture and Workshop
The Brazilian Embassy, in collaboration with the Office of
Information and Public Relations, presents a Brazilian Cultural Event:
"Capoeira Sobreviventes - Batizado 2008" on October 18-23.
Capoeira is a brazilian art form that ritualizes movement from martial
arts, games, and dance. It was created in Brazil some time after the
16th century.
The program includes introduction to Capoeira at West Hall on October
23 at 10:30 am and Capoeira workshops at the Hostler Center until
October 28.
AUB students can register at the Visitors' Bureau from 9:00 am to
5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, before October 22, 2008. For information,
