Do Not Dump Your Pet Cat
on Campus |
|
| As kindness is an integral
part of education, the AUB campus has a humane policy toward animals.
In respect for life, and given that cats are sentient beings, AUB's
cat program is geared toward humane cat population control: cutting
down the feline population via trap-neuter-release (TNR) prevents
the problems that result from overpopulation such as fierce competition
for resources or aggression. However, it is against policy - because
it is against humane treatment of animals - to dump pet cats on campus
as home loss is traumatic to animals. |
