Call for Papers

"America in the Middle East/The Middle East in America," an interdisciplinary conference sponsored by the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at AUB, will be held on December 18-21,
2005. Taking the current tense encounters between America and the Middle East as a starting point, the conference invites papers that explore these encounters through contextualization and questioning.
Send abstracts (500 words or less), along with a short CV, to casar@aub.edu.lb by June 1, 2005. All paper presenters will be subsidized. Further information is available on the CASAR website:

Twelfth Annual Science, Math and Technology Fair
April 22-24, 2005


The Education Students Society and the Science and Math Education
Center are organizing the Twelfth Annual Science, Math and Technology
Fair on the weekend of April 22-24, 2005, at AUB. The Fair provides
students from schools throughout Lebanon with the opportunity to
share scientific, mathematical and technological projects with their
peers from other schools.
The Fair will be held in different rooms in West Hall, on Friday 22,
Saturday 23, and Sunday 24 April, 2005. For further information or
