BLOM Beirut Marathon 07 November 18, 2007
Hundreds of runners of all ages volunteered to “Run for children with congenital heart disease” on Sunday, November 18th 2007, helping us raise both awareness and funds for needy children.
Congratulations to Mrs. Elga Trad who won 2nd place in the Lebanese women’s category wearing her Brave Heart Fund jersey!
With the elite Lebanese runners wearing the Brave Heart Fund logo on their special jerseys, the Brave Heart Fund was highly visible at the 42k race this year.
All 1200 Brave Heart Fund runners and supporters including Film Star Nadine Labaki (of ‘Caramel’ fame) could be seen wearing the Brave Heart Fund red T-shirts and caps on the streets of Beirut.
After the race, Brave Heart Fund’s runners and supporters, congregated around the breakfast buffet offered by our volunteers. Basket-ball star Yasser El-Hajj dropped-by to congratulate the many school children from IC, Grand Lycee Franco-Libanais, and other schools who ran the 5k and 10k races for children with Congenital Heart disease.
