This February, the BHF will launch its 3rd CHD Awareness Campaign which aims to bring more attention to the devastating impact of congenital heart defects on infants, children, teens and their families and to raise awareness about the need for more education, support services, research funding and enhance standards of care to Congenital Heart Disease patients.
The Campaign will target adults as well as children in our community with:
- Media Campaign
A bi-lingual (English/Arabic) media campaign including billboards, posters, postcards, press advertisements & TV features and Radio interviews will run during the month.
- School Outreach
‘Trivia Challenge’ activity booklets written for school children will be distributed to students grades 6,7 and 8 by the BHF during an oral presentation and film screening about congenital heart disease. The project will engage children and encourage discussion with parents and teachers about heart disease and instill a sense of responsibility towards the needy in their community.
- Designers for Children with Heart Disease
- Leading fashion stores will sell trendy vinyl pouches with a ‘LOVE’ message designed by Lebanese designer Maria Arida. Proceeds from these sales will benefit children with congenital heart disease.
