The members of the GMEC shall be appointed by the vice president for medical affairs/dean of the Faculty of Medicine/AUBMC upon the recommendation of the assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education/DIO. All resident members appointed to the GMEC are selected by their peers and are voting members. The term of appointment for residents is one year. The term of appointment for other members shall be one, two or three years, at the discretion of the vice president for medical affairs/dean of the Faculty of Medicine/AUBMC upon the recommendation of the assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education/DIO. If a member is unable to complete her/his term, a substitute shall be appointed by the vice president for medical affairs/dean of the Faculty of Medicine/AUBMC upon the recommendation of the assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education/DIO.
