The 1st FEA Student Conference (FEASC 2002) will be held at the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, AUB, on 6–7 June, 2002, in celebration of the FEA 50th Anniversary. The conference will provide a forum at which Engineering and Architecture students can exchange their technical views and present their projects, research, and art work. The program will include technical sessions where oral presentation of accepted papers will be presented, and exhibitions highlighting the work of FEA students, including Final Year Projects (FYP). In addition, distinguished plenary speakers will review specific topics of interest. All FEA students are eligible to participate. Abstracts       Extended abstracts of two pages, single-spaced, should clearly state the objectives, a brief description, and, if applicable, preliminary results or conclusions of the work to be presented.  Abstracts can be extended to four pages if they include figures/pictures.  Include a cover page with the title of the paper, names of authors, Department, and contact details (address, e-mail, phone). Submitted papers should be the original work of students (individual or team work). Contribution of faculty members (or others) supervising the work should be acknowledged at the end of the paper. Abstracts should be submitted in print to the FEA Dean’s Office, or by e-mail to fea@aub.edu.lb

The papers will be evaluated for oral or poster presentation on the basis of their technical quality and practical aspects. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, which will be available in printed form and on the Internet.

 

Awards          Awards will be granted for the Best Paper and for the Best Poster.
