AUB, HP, Intel and Microsoft have started an
initiative to create a Financial Competency Center at the American
University of Beirut (AUB).
The AUB is one of the oldest and most highly
respected universities in the Middle East and is a major contributor
to the workforce in the Financial and IT industries.
Microsoft, HP and Intel are internationally renowned companies in
the areas of innovative technologies and professional services
offerings. Beirut is regarded as one of the Financial Sector hubs in
the Middle East, owing to its advanced banking laws and unique
geographical location linking three continents together.
The objective of this initiative is to establish the Centre as a
leading Financial Services solutions testing and research center
serving the regional market out of Beirut.
