The mission of the Department of Family Medicine at the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC) is to promote and achieve excellent community-oriented primary health care at the local, national and regional levels through education, research, and services.

The Department serves as the leader at AUBMC, in primary care education and research. It provides exemplary, comprehensive and continuous primary health care utilizing the psychosocial model. The Department serves students, residents, fellows, health professionals, AUB community and citizens.
