The President's Club

The President's Club was established in 1981 as a vehicle for close contact between persons interested in the welfare of the American University of Beirut and its President. Its purpose is to provide the University with a contingency fund from membership fees, to be expended at the discretion of the Administrative Board of the Club, in consultation with, and at the recommendation of, the President, for improving student life and facilities on campus. The President's Club is a unique position to underwrite vital projects that have no allocations in the general University budget, wherever the need arises.

Membership in the President's Club is as follows:
- Life Member for $10,000 (one payment)
- Regular Member for $1,000/year
- Associate Member for $500/year

Bench campaign
In 2001,  the Administrative Board launched the Bench Campaign to encourage donors to make gifts of $ 5,000 and adopt one of AUB’s Benches. A plaque engraved with the name of the donor and the name of the honored person with an appropriate text is placed on the adopted bench.
