 |
| Vincenzo Lattanzi (piano) and Massimo Pacella
(violin) play Vivaldi, Dvorak, Mozart, and Hindemith |
On April 7, the classical music of Vivaldi, Dvorak, Mozart, and Hindemith
was celebrated by the Goethe Institute in a concert entitled "Musical
Encounters with Europe." Organized in cooperation with the Office
of Information and Public Relations and held at Assembly Hall, the concert
featured Italian musicians Vincenzo Lattanzi on the piano and Massimo
Pacella on the violin.
Pacella, who attended the conservatory in L'Aquila, Italy, where he obtained
his violin diploma, has participated in master courses with renowned European
virtuosos. In 1992, he founded with Sabatino Servilio the Instrumental
Serafino Aquilano Group, and has performed in Italy, Spain, Germany, the
Netherlands, and the United States. He also gives regular concerts with
the ethnic music group,"DisCanto," with whom he recorded several
albums.
Lattanzi, who holds a degree in political science from the University
of Rome, studied piano-playing at the conservatory in Bologna and later
attended master courses with Italian virtuosos. Lattanzi had been performing
as a soloist, but has recently began to play in duo. He had already performed
for the Goethe Institute in a concert held in Kabul, Afghanistan, in 2006.
This was his first appearance in Lebanon.
