AUB Music Club Concert
 |
| Young musicians appreciate different styles
of music during Grace Notes |
In true holiday spirit, the AUB Music Club organized a concert titled
"Grace Notes" that was held in Bathish Auditorium on December
6. As planned, the program consisted of low-key songs and instrumental
ballads, and the expectant fans were anxiously ushered in as the performers
prepared for the soft music.
Grace Notes was intended to promote and encourage young musicians to appreciate
different styles of music, from the more classical pieces to modern, eclectic
styles. As such, the night's program included a viola solo of Bach's Suite
#1 and a piano adaptation of a traditional Middle Eastern song, as well
as other more contemporary pieces.
The concert succeeded in creating a real appreciation for classical instrumental
music, and the players were enthusiastically applauded for their talent.
The members of the AUB Music Club truly deserve praise for their efforts
in preparing for the event. They attracted a full house to their Christmas
concert and provided a festive night with thematic props and stage decorations.
The audience expressed their pleasure, joining in on the singing and merriment.
