Women's Auxiliary Holiday Luncheon

The Women's Auxiliary of the AUB Medical Center held its annual Christmas luncheon at the Bristol Hotel on December 15. President and Mrs. John Waterbury were among the distinguished guests who attended the large gathering of auxiliary members and friends.

In her welcoming remarks, Amal Najjar, president of the Women's Auxiliary, thanked "the Ladies in Pink" volunteers for their "dedication, commitment, and exemplary service." She announced the formation of a Social Committee, whose members will be designated to plan and organize the various activities of the auxiliary.

Najjar then honored Leila Iliya, the former president of the Women's Auxiliary, and acknowledged her numerous accomplishments during her presidency. Munthir Kuzayli, the director of AUBMC, presented Iliya with the AUB shield as a token of appreciation for her "leadership and selfless services" to the Women's Auxiliary for the past twenty-two years.

In conclusion, the audience was entertained by the wonderful soprano voice of Nicole Rassi Abdallah, who then led everyone in the singing of Christmas carols. It was a most enjoyable and pleasant gathering for all.
