33rd Annual Folk Dance Festival Hosts 20 Performing Schools

The Folk Dance Festival at AUB, which showcases the many traditions of
folk dance, has truly become an annual tradition in itself. This year,
the 33rd Annual Folk Dance Festival was held on May 21 at the Green Oval,
where groups of students from 20 schools from all over Lebanon gathered
to perform the folk dances of 12 different countries.
The organizing committee of the 2006 festival was composed of Dean of
Student Affairs Maroun Kisirwani as chairperson, Wadad El Husseini, Marie
Lena Caponis, Lamia El Husseiny, Anis Abdallah, Ghaleb Halimi, Ibrahim
Khoury, Najib Hubayka, Raja Fayad, Hana Sbeiti, Saadallah Shalak, and
Samia Hubayka.
