Dr. Suhail Bulos was appointed acting chairman
of the Department of Surgery at AUBMC as of November 1, 2005.

Dr. Bulos graduated with an MD degree from the American University of Beirut in 1950. He was appointed clinical instructor in the Department of Surgery in 1963, and was promoted to assistant
clinical professor in 1966, and to associate clinical professor in 1979.

Dr. Bulos was instrumental in building up the Division of Orthopedic Surgery at AUBMC, and for 20 years he has been guiding senior AUB residents in orthopedics at the Agnes Hunt and Robert Jones Orthopedic Hospital at Oswestry, in the United Kingdom.
