Dr. Thurayya Arayssi has been appointed assistant dean for Graduate Medical Education of the Faculty of Medicine and designated as the Institutional Official for Graduate Medical Education.

As the Faculty of Medicine moves towards accreditation of its residency and fellowship training programs by the Accreditation Council for Medical Graduate Education (ACGME), Dr. Arayssi, in her capacity as assistant dean and institutional official, will have the authority and responsibility of overseeing AUB’s ACGME accreditation process by assuring compliance with ACGME institutional requirements.

In preparation for the above, Dr. Arayssi will chair a committee on graduate medical education, the members of which will be announced in due time.
