In an article entitled “AUBMC Nursing Service Awaits–Magnet Designation” published in AUBulletin Today, November 2004 page 9, it was incorrectly mentioned that “the AUBMC Department of Nursing Services declared itself ready to apply to the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) for Magnet recognition. In fact, it “declared itself ready to pursue the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) Magnet recognition.”

In an article entitled “Keeping Zaki Nassif’s Music Alive” Nassif was mistakenly described as having spent five years studying at AUB from 1946 to 1951. In fact, the musician studied at AUB from 1936 to 1941.

The editors would like to clarify any misunderstanding that may have arisen from omitting to mention in the article entitled “Medical Students Vote for Best Professor” that the awards were given by the Faculty of Medicine Student Representative Committee at the 6th Annual Fundraising Gala Dinner of the Lebanese Medical Students’ International Committee (LeMSIC). This annual event helps support the exchange program that LeMSIC organizes, whereby more than 70 medical students from AUB get the chance to undergo clinical or research electives in foreign countries.
