Three New Members Join BOT

 

The AUB Board of Trustees elected three new members at its June meeting in New York, bringing total board membership to 43, among whom are 13 members from the Middle East.
All three have long associations with AUB. Nabil Chartouni, chairman, managing director, and founder of Acropolis Tourism Development Services Ltd. and Acropolis Capital Partners Ltd., based in London, set up in 1998 the Chartouni Family Endowed Scholarship Fund at AUB for students from the Zahle area.
Dr. Herant Katchadourian, AUB BS and medical school graduate with honors in 1958, has had a long career at Stanford University where he is professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, professor of human biology, and professor of education.
A prolific author, editor, and beloved teacher, Dr Katchadourian's Fundamentals of Human Sexuality, now in its fifth edition, has been translated into four languages. He is also on the Board of Trustees of Haigazian University.
Munib Masri has since 1971 been chairman and CEO of the Edgo Group, based in Nablus, Palestine, a group which operates in contracting, industrial development, trading, distribution and representation, project development, operation and maintenance, and project financing in the Middle East and Africa.
Serving on the board of many prominent companies, banks, and investment houses in both Europe and the Middle East, Munib Masri also works with international cultural and educational institutions.
