Women’s Auxiliary Fundraising Luncheon

The Women’s Auxiliary of the AUB Medical Center held a fundraising luncheon on March 18 at the Intercontinental Phoenicia Hotel. The proceeds from the contributions and from the tombola sale will be used to help needy patients at the AUBMC.

The lunch was designed as a Spanish Fiesta with Spanish food and dance. Christina Carballo, wife of HE Juan Gafo, the Spanish ambassador, was present.

Amal Najjar, president of the association, welcomed the guests and thanked the volunteers for their enthusiasm and great efforts in making the event a success. In her address, she also extended the Women’s Auxiliary’s appreciation, gratitude, and thanks to all 130 generous donors.

Nadia Alamuddine, the program chairperson, wished everyone a Happy Mother’s Day, and presented the talented and entertaining dancers. Most of the 300 guests won a tombola prize after enjoying the sumptuous and delicious Spanish lunch.

Phoenicia Hotel lunch was a Spanish fiesta
