Baalbaki Receives Award

Imad Baalbaki’s Work Receives Highly Commended Award at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009.

Dr. Imad Baalbaki, AUB’s Assistant Vice President for Development and member of the Olayan School of Business faculty was recognized by the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009.

Baalbaki and his co-authors’ paper entitled “Patient Satisfaction with Healthcare Delivery Systems” was as a Highly Commended Award Winner at the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2009 (an Emerald Publishing award). The paper, written by Baalbaki, Ahmed, Pashtenko, and Makarem, was published in the International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing (2, 1, 2008).

In their letter of congratulations to the authors, Emerald Publishing noted that “the award winning papers are chosen following consultation amongst the journal’s Editorial Team, many of whom are eminent academics or managers. Your paper has been selected as it was one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2008.” According to Cabell’s Directory, a review body on academic journals, the International Journal of Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Marketing has an acceptance rate of a maximum of 5 per cent.
