 The
Transplantation Unit is especially constructed
and designed to provide a safe and infection-free environment
for BMT patients. It is located on the 8th floor
of the Medical Center.
It consists of five separate rooms:
- One room is equipped with a laminar air flow filtration system and offers a high level of isolation for severely immuno-compromised patients.
- The other four rooms are equipped with HEPA filters.
All edges in the patients' rooms are smoothly rounded with no sharp edges. Each room has its own bathroom. The bathroom basins are equipped with infrared faucets to avoid any physical contact with the patient.
