Review of Lebanese amphibians and reptiles.

A comprehensive review of the status, geographic distribution of Lebanese herpetofauna is being conducted. Many gaps exist in the old outdated literature regarding this herpetofauna and recent work by German and Dutch herpetologists has not yet managed to fill these gaps. This study is conducted in collaboration with colleagues in the Museo Regionale di Scienza, Turino, Italy. The study includes a survey of the herpetofauna of the Lebanese protected areas.
