TeXaide - Free Equation Editor

Design Science's TeXaide™ is a special version
of an Equation Editor that generates TeX and LaTeX using MathType's translator technology.
TeXaide™ has an easy-to-use interface that allows you to insert hundreds of characters and symbols without having to look them up!



TeXaide comes with a comprehensive Help file that
describes how to use the product.  
TeXaide is free!

To use TeXaide
you'll need:
     (1)  to download it to your computer; and
     (2)  to install it on your computer.

Follow the instructions:
-
Click the Download TeXaide link to download the file to your computer.
  If your computer prompts you to open or to save, click save
  The file "
ta40a.exe" will be saved on your local machine. 
- Double click on the file to open it.  The installation wizard will   
  guide you through the installation process.  
- After the installation is completed you can use TeXaide at any time:  
  click
Start > Programs > TeXaide 4 > TeXaide.

IMPORTANT: Note that if you do not have Administrator privileges in your computer you will not be able to install this--or any other software.  In this case you need to contact CNS so they do the installation for you. 


TeXaide  and Moodle

To run the TeXaide code smoothly in Moodle, you need to change some of its settings--prior to any copy/paste of the code:
    - Run TeXaide
    - Go to Edit >Translators
   
- Uncheck the two little boxes:
               □ Include Translator name in translation
               □ Include MathType data in translation
    - Click OK.
