Climate

Lebanon enjoys a Mediterranean climate, and for eight months of the year, light clothes may be worn. The winter rainy season from November to March, however, is at times damp and cold. Although most Beirut buildings are centrally heated, warm clothing is recommended for the winter months. The average annual rainfall of 86 cm (34 inches) comes chiefly in the winter when the temperature may drop below 7 (50). Except for this rainy season, the weather in Beirut is delightful.
